About Me

Growing up with a passion for colour almost guaranteed me to be obsessed with nail lacquer, after 16 painful years of biting my nails to beyond belief, a single bottle of China Glaze Shocking Pink snapped me out of it, from that day on there has been no biting, just hauling!  Being from the UK there obviously is not alot of places to pick up the polishes I needed so the annual family trip to the US would turn in to me dragging my polish stuffed suitcase home through the airports with a very annoyed dad!  Having collected more bottles than I could count, painting every ones nails different colours everyday was not enough for me, so, during my time at University studying law, I decided to take my love for nails to the next level and train with O.P.I for a full nail course!  I loved every moment of my training and love it even more now I am able to use even more products than I ever expected!  

Being asked "whats O.P.I" or "who's China Glaze" often left me :o, so, as I couldnt find a legal training contract anywere in the entire UK after I graduated, I made a bold decision, to open my own shop/nail studio! My mission is to make people aware of quality products save using things like "la femme" and "boots own" branded products (not that there is anything wrong with them).  I am now in room filled with O.P.I, China Glaze, Nubar, Konad and so much more, a room full of colour!  I have conveted so many people, just based on them being shocked at the price of the products, me persuading them to try a simple £5 File & Polish and it lasting for a lot longer than they expect!  I love it when they come back amazed then start wondering round the shop front picking bottles umming and ahhing at all the colours now I have them hooked :D.  I wanted to create something that no one else (Where I Live) has opened up before, lots of people are amazed that someone would open up a "polish" shop, but we have had a great reaction, as people only tend to buy off the internet or on QVC, now they buy from me, where all the colours are swatched out, ready for them to try before they buy!  Especially since we also offer nail services people love to see what we can do with all the colours, stamping and freehand art theres nothing we wont try!  My shop is not huge, but just big enough, theres even a tree, yes a tree! With hanging balls filled with mini lacquers!
